You Don’t Have a Sales Problem as a High-Performing Christian Woman

Hey hey ladies. I want to share something with you today that I honestly do not think anyone in the online business world is actually saying right now, and I think it is going to change the way you look at everything that is feeling stuck or slow in your business. If you are showing up, you are posting, you are praying, and you are still circling the same mountain wondering why things are not converting, this episode is for you. Because I want to tell you something that might surprise you: you probably do not have a sales problem.

I know that might sound like a stretch when you are sitting in the middle of a slow season or a launch that did not go the way you planned, so let me back up and share something personal that I have never really talked about in depth before, because I think it is going to help you see what is actually going on underneath the surface of your Christian online business.

What Really Happened After I Hit $1 Million in My Online Business in 2023

In 2023, I officially hit one million dollars in my faith-based online business. And then in 2024, I spent an entire year completely frozen, honestly unsure whether my business was going to make it and whether I even wanted to keep going. And it all started because of one bad launch in February of 2024, which looking back, was not even actually a bad launch. My numbers were still really great. But emotionally, I got so wrapped up in how the results felt compared to the record numbers I had just had in 2023 that one experience completely derailed my traction and honestly affected my sales for the entire year.

I started questioning everything. Are my offers even good? Do my clients actually need what I am selling? Am I even called to do this anymore? And I started dreading sitting down to work, dreading my clients, dreading the things I used to love. I woke up every single morning with fear and heaviness. I felt foggy, like I could not write a single piece of content because I just felt so empty and dry. I stopped marketing almost completely. And the irony is that from the outside, this is exactly what a high-performing Christian business coach looks like when she is silently falling apart.

My husband actually encouraged us to pull back on advertising spend for a season because we were finishing a commercial building build and wanted to stockpile some cash, and that timing gave me permission to call it a break. But it was not really a break. It was a shutdown driven by something that had nothing to do with sales strategy.

The Real Diagnosis: You Don’t Have a Sales Problem, You Have a Fullness Problem

Here is what I eventually realized about that whole season, and what I want you to hear today: I did not have a sales problem. I had what I now call a fullness problem. And the Bible actually gives us the framework to diagnose it. In 2 Peter 1:5 through 7, there are eight specific areas that, when lacking, show up as slow sales, stalled launches, and a business that just cannot seem to get traction. These are not random business problems. They are symptoms of something going on much deeper in your mind, body, and spirit.

What happens is that we come into our businesses and our coaching programs and we say, just give me the strategy, just give me the to-do list, just tell me what to execute and I will go do it. And yes, execution matters, absolutely. But once you start to see that it is not really about the effort or the strategy, but that it’s about the woman who has to carry all of it, you cannot unsee it. Because when the woman underneath is broken or depleted or full of comparison or fear or fog, the strategy does not work. It cannot work. The foundation is not there to hold it.

And this is what nobody in the online business coaching space is actually talking about right now, because it is so much easier to add another strategy on top of a broken foundation than it is to do the harder work of diagnosing what is actually going on at the root. But adding more strategy on top of something that is already cracked does not fix the crack. It just makes the whole thing heavier.

What Was Actually Going on Underneath My Slow Sales Season Had Nothing to Do With Strategy

When I look back at 2024 honestly, I can see exactly what was going on. It was not that my offer was bad. It was not that my audience stopped needing what I sell. It was not that the market shifted in a way that made me irrelevant. What was actually happening was that I had allowed one emotional experience to completely destabilize my identity as a business owner, and then I built an entire year of decisions on top of that destabilization.

I stopped showing up. I stopped marketing. I stopped believing that what I had was worth selling. And every single one of those things had its root somewhere in my mind, body, and spirit, not in my sales process. The sales process was fine. The strategy was fine. The problem was that the woman executing the strategy had checked out, and nobody could see it from the outside because I was still functioning, just not thriving.

The signs that it is a fullness problem and not a sales problem often look like this:

• You feel foggy when you sit down to create content and you genuinely do not know what to say even though you know your topic inside and out
• You are comparing yourself to someone else in your industry and it is taking up mental real estate that should be going toward your own clients and offers
• You dread the work that you used to love, and you cannot quite figure out why because nothing has actually changed in your business model
• You keep asking God if you are even called to this anymore, not because He is speaking that to you, but because fear and depletion have gotten louder than His voice
• You are circling the same mountain, making the same pivots, trying the same strategies, and wondering why you keep ending up in the same place

Why Christian Women in Online Business Keep Circling the Same Mountain Without Realizing It

I actually told my kids something in the car recently that I think applies directly to what so many of us are experiencing in our businesses right now. They were complaining about going to help at their grandparents’ house and I said to them, do you know that the Israelites were delivered out of Egypt and were literally miles from the promised land, but they circled the wilderness for forty years because they were grumbling, they were not doing the inner work, and they just kept complaining instead of moving forward? And ladies, that is exactly what happens to us in our Christian online businesses when we have a fullness problem that we have not diagnosed.

We are not called to build from survival mode. We are not supposed to be stuck in the wilderness forever, circling the same fears, the same launch anxiety, the same comparison spirals, the same foggy content creation sessions. But we will keep circling if we keep trying to solve a fullness problem with a sales strategy. The strategy is not the issue. The woman carrying the strategy is where the work needs to happen.

And I want to be really clear here because I know how this can land: this is not about blame. It is not about shaming yourself for the season you are in. It is about finally getting an honest diagnosis instead of just trying harder at the same things that are not working. Because you were not called to keep grinding without fruit. You were called to build something that actually grows, and that kind of growth starts on the inside.

What Actually Shifts When You Diagnose the Real Root of Your Slow Sales as a Faith-Based Entrepreneur

When I finally started doing the real inner work in my online coaching business after that hard 2024 season, things started to shift in a way that no sales training had ever produced for me before. Not because I found a new strategy or a better funnel or a different offer, but because I finally stopped treating the symptom and started addressing what was actually going on. And what I found is that 2 Peter gives us this incredibly specific, incredibly practical framework for diagnosing exactly where fullness is lacking, whether it is in faith, in knowledge, in self-control, in perseverance, in godliness, in community, or in love.

And when you can actually identify which of those eight areas is depleted in your life and your business, you stop spinning and you start moving forward with real clarity. You know what to address. You know where to put your energy. And the sales, the launches, the content creation, all of it starts to flow again because the woman executing the strategy is finally whole enough to carry it.

What actually starts to shift when fullness is addressed:

• You sit down to create content and the words come because you are not writing from a place of depletion and fog; you are writing from conviction and overflow
• Your launches feel different because you are not entering them from a place of fear and survival; you are entering them from a place of preparation and trust
• Comparison loses its grip because you are too grounded in your own calling and your own lane to spend energy looking sideways
• Sales start to feel like ministry again rather than a measure of your worth or your calling

You Were Not Called to Keep Circling the Same Mountain in Your Online Business

If you are reading this and feeling that familiar recognition, the fog, the comparison, the depletion, the dread, the launch that did not go right and somehow turned into an entire season of questioning everything, I want you to know that what you are experiencing is not a character flaw and it is not a sign that you are not called to this. It is a fullness problem. And a fullness problem has a real, biblical, diagnosable root, and it has a fix.

The enemy wants you circling that mountain indefinitely. He wants you to believe that if you just find the right strategy or the right sales script or the right funnel, everything will finally click. But the real breakthrough is not out there in another tactic. It is in addressing what is actually going on in your mind, body, and spirit so that you can finally carry the calling God put on your life with the capacity it deserves.

You were not called to build from survival mode. You were called to build from fullness. And that is exactly what is available to you when you stop trying to solve a fullness problem with a sales strategy and finally get the right diagnosis.
