Have you ever been in a season where you’re waiting for God to bring about change, but hope seems to be fading? That’s where I’ve found myself lately as a Christian Business Coach. But the truth is – we don’t have to stay there. We have an incredible gift from God as we travel along on this business journey! And, It’s my half-birthday today! I’m celebrating with a powerful message about hope – not just any hope but the kind anchored in Jesus. Half-birthdays might not be a big deal to everyone, but for me, it’s a moment of reflection and celebration. Hope is a topic that’s been on my mind lately that I want to share with those who are starting a coaching business. It’s not just hope in the abstract; it’s about how hope intersects with our daily lives, especially when faced with challenges that might make us question the future.
HOPE
In my recent devotional readings, I found myself wrestling with feelings of disenchantment and frustration. Despite being blessed, I felt a bit worn down by the world’s craziness. We’ve all been through so much lately, and the healing needed is substantial. As we approach an election year, the uncertainties loom, and it’s easy to wonder when things will get better. I’ve been wrestling with weariness, questioning aspects of my faith, and feeling skeptical about it all. But, what if we paused and surrendered to God’s way, letting go of the fear of how others say we should run our businesses? This journey is not just about business success; it’s about finding healing and addressing the areas we may have neglected.
ARE WE ANCHORED IN THE HOPE OF CHRIST OR THE HOPIUM?!
Hope deferred makes the heart sick – a truth we all grapple with. In this season of waiting, I’ve been feeling more skeptical and disenfranchised. It’s a struggle, but I’ve come to realize there’s a need for healing in areas I’ve neglected. I’m a go-getter, deadline-driven, and sometimes, I forget to operate in that feminine energy. Stress and nervous system dysregulation have crept in. But, what if we paused and surrendered to God’s way, letting go of the fear of how others say we should run our businesses? Hope isn’t just a vague concept; it’s a tangible anchor. It’s not about wishful thinking or embracing “hopium” trends about an easy way out. This brings me to a business perspective – are we grounded in hope or wishful thinking for our businesses?
FIX OUR EYES ON THE HOPE OF JESUS…
I often see people relying on wishful thinking, avoiding execution, and waiting for things to magically fall into place. But hope requires action grounded in truth. It’s not just about posturing for an outcome; it’s about executing strategies, finishing what you start, and seeking mentorship. Don’t fall into the trap of wishful thinking; instead, let hope drive you to take meaningful action in your business. Hope isn’t passive; it’s an active force that propels us forward. As we navigate the complexities of running an online business, we need to be anchored in strategies and execution. It’s about facing the reality of what it takes to succeed, not just hoping for an overnight transformation. Whether it’s avoiding procrastination, finishing projects, or seeking mentorship, hope calls us to action. It’s not a wishful posture but a commitment to building a solid foundation for our businesses.
