On today’s Christian Business podcast episode, I am sharing a story about the experience of one of my Selah Collective student’s first launch. This incredible lady is such a light and full of faith-filled confidence. Since launching her first program in November, she has made $14,000 so far and is gearing up for her next launch in May.
During our first call together she said…”Ashley, I feel like I have all these fireworks and I just need to figure out how to turn all of these ideas into one big flame.” So many of you are like Kathryn – you have so many great ideas but you have no clue what to do with them.

KATHRYN’S STORY – STRUGGLE + DISCOVERY
When Kathryn began in the Selah Collective, she felt very overwhelmed with course creation. She said, “Ashley, it’s taking me five to ten hours to record one training session.”
It can be like riding a bike for the first time. You start riding slower with training wheels and before you know it you are speeding through town on just two. Everyone will not necessarily have a full out course to complement their coaching program, but for Kathryn, she struggled in the beginning with course creation during the building process. It just takes some time to build that momentum. Give yourself grace and eventually you will find your flow.
Kathryn came into the Selah Collective in the state of trying to figure out what exactly she wanted to do in the health and wellness space.
Kathryn said, “I convinced myself that I could do this, and then the fire of God lit in me that women need to be free from the cycle of dieting and get out from under condemnation and poor health habits. I learned women need way more help with the mental side of weight loss than I realized, but they don’t realize it yet either.”
Kathryn discovered a deeper meaning behind what she was doing in her coaching business. This is what the Selah Collective is all about – we are here to set people free!
LAUNCHING HER FIRST PROGRAM
Like many of us have or will at some point, Kathryn experienced spiritual warfare during her first launch. Her experience proves that we cannot expect that stepping out into our calling is going to be easy. We have to put on the whole armor of God and be prepared to go through the fire.
Kathryn shares, “I learned to trust the process even when it doesn’t make sense or seem to matter that much…it does and I learned we can’t do it alone. We need each other to support us when things are tough without judgment and it’s wonderful to have a group who understands the struggle…because family just don’t..as much as they try. We need other biz minded coaches to encourage us during the process….especially the first time.”
