Okay ladies, I am beyond excited right now.
As many of you know, we just opened registration for The Sanctuary online business wellness club, and honestly this feels like a really big moment. I haven’t launched something this significant since the fall of 2021, and it truly feels like a new era in my business and in my mission.
We still have the Selah Collective going, and it’s alive and active. Women are coming in, and it continues to be a core program inside my business. That space is very focused on business and marketing strategy.
But over the last couple of years, I’ve noticed God doing something different in my own life. I really feel like He has been taking me through a bit of a shifting season. There are still the core things I know He has called me to do, but at the same time it feels like my mission is opening up and expanding into something bigger than just business strategy.
And when the Lord puts something on your heart like that, sometimes you just run with it.
So today I wanted to talk about The Sanctuary and the heart behind why I created it.
Women Are So Busy, Stressed, and Over Capacity Right Now
One of the biggest things that has been on my heart lately is the reality that women are really suffering right now. Our society is incredibly busy, and so many women are stretched thin trying to keep everything going.
We are running around from thing to thing, trying to manage responsibilities, families, and everyday life. At the same time, many women are trying to launch a new business or keep the wheels on the current one.
And honestly, we’re tired.
We are overstimulated, our nervous systems are in constant overload, and it feels like there are inputs coming at us from every direction. A lot of women don’t even feel like they have the same space they used to have for quiet time with the Lord because life is so full.
For women building a Christian online business, especially those learning how to build a coaching business or stepping into leadership as an online Christian Business Coach or Christian Life Coach, this can make the whole process feel even heavier.
You know God has called you to something. You want to do the thing He has placed on your heart. But when life feels chaotic, it becomes harder to find the clarity you need to move forward.
Why Christian Women in Business Need a Sanctuary
When I think about the word sanctuary, I think back to a song I used to sing growing up in youth group and on mission trips. The lyrics were, “Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true.”
That song always carried this presence with it.
And when I think about Christian women who are building online businesses right now, that idea feels incredibly important. A sanctuary is a place where women can come back into alignment while they are pursuing their calling.
It’s a place where women can walk in their anointings and callings while also becoming solid and grounded in every area of life. Because the truth is, it is very easy to neglect certain areas when life gets busy.
When one area gets neglected, it eventually starts to show up somewhere else. If your physical health is struggling, that affects your energy and eventually your business. If your emotional health is off, that affects your decisions. If your spiritual rhythms feel disconnected, it becomes harder to be a good leader.
This is why the concept of a sanctuary matters so much.
You Can’t Operate in Fullness Without Being Whole
One of the things that has become really clear to me over the last couple of years is that leadership requires wholeness.
In order for me to lead and do the thing God has called me to do, I have to be whole. I have to be walking in fullness. That means stewarding multiple areas of life at the same time.
It includes the way our minds work and the patterns we carry mentally. It includes our physical bodies, our nervous systems, and the things that actually nourish our health. It also includes our spiritual lives, spending time in the Word and receiving the soul care that helps us stay aligned with God.
And of course, it also includes business.
Women still need help with marketing, messaging, and sales. They need direction as they learn how to grow a faith-based online business or step into leadership as a Christian entrepreneur.
But when those other areas of life are out of alignment, clarity in business starts to feel forced. Instead of moving forward in peace, women start striving.
The Deeper Reason Many Women Struggle to Launch
After working with hundreds of women in high-level programs, I have noticed something really interesting.
Many women understand business strategy and the steps they need to take. But the number one reason many women fail in sales and marketing programs is the failure to launch and execute.
Often the real issue is not strategy. It is what is happening underneath the surface in a woman’s life. You can be great at business and still feel unhealthy in your mind, body, spirit, or soul.
When those areas are neglected, they eventually affect how you show up as a leader.
The Heart Behind the Sanctuary
This is honestly why the Sanctuary exists.
I didn’t create it just to add another program. I created it because I see women trying to do what God has called them to do, but they are overwhelmed, confused, and sometimes stuck on the hamster wheel.
Inside the Sanctuary, we have brought in experts who can help women in different areas of life. There are people who understand things like the nervous system, hormones, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual healing.
The day I recorded this episode, I actually went to a massage therapist who is one of my students and also a believer. She started explaining how much tension my body had been holding and how much buildup was happening in my lymphatic system.
That experience reminded me how important it is to seek the expertise of other people. We need one another so we can walk around healthy, whole, and ready to lead. We can’t go at alone.
A Different Way to Sustain Long-Term Leadership
What I love about The Sanctuary is that it is something different from the typical “do these steps and grow your business” approach.
Yes, women still receive business coaching and guidance, but this space also supports the deeper areas that affect leadership.
When women begin to receive holistic care for their mind, body, spirit, soul, and business, something powerful starts to happen. They gain a clear path forward and begin to feel peace again – they become better equipped to step into the calling God has placed on their lives.
That kind of wholeness is what allows women to sustain leadership long term.
Because in order to go do the thing God has called us to do, we have to participate in the process of becoming whole.
