As Christian business owners we must live by the truth and give no room for indecisiveness. Our emotions will lie to us! In the online business world your truth is DATA—she doesn’t lie.
LIVE BY THE TRUTH = AKA DATA
Growing up I remember my dad being so stressed about his auto body shop business. Summer would hit, incoming cars would slow down and he would panic. It was my mother who reminded him of the truth—the DATA. Every year the auto shop recovered and revenue increased from the year before. Data doesn’t lie, it is consistent, and it is the anchor of truth in our online coaching business! Now when the Data slips, that’s when you know something needs to CHANGE..
EMOTIONS CAN LIE TO YOU
As coaches, we take on a lot of emotions. We want to see our clients succeed so much that we can sometimes allow our emotions to take control. It’s easy to be discouraged. Last week one of my students reached out to me to share how she got on a call with a potential client for her program and was told that she should not be charging for it. You will have hardship! Right after that call my student received enrollments for her program so according to the data….people do value her and are paying for what she offers. Despite the discouragement, the data showed what she was doing was working.
There will always be things to fix in your online coaching business in order to scale it. Scaling is ultimately looking at the data to see what’s working and what is not. You make the necessary changes then repeat that process—that’s the truth. You have to get out of your own way and stop thinking on emotion and think on the truth which is your data…
