Today, I am so excited to share with you all the biggest secret to success for Christian coaches, and why marketing is not that secret! I have been noticing this in the online coaching world lately and this secret is what set me apart as I built my own online business. Let’s Go!
Time is going by so fast! Fall is almost over! I am currently in Costa Rica. Today is the last day of our retreat. My family is flying in today to join me for 4-5 weeks of vacation. I am SO thankful for this time and am so excited to surf! Stay tuned for some updates that are coming up regarding the launch that just finished and some upcoming fun things that are happening in this upcoming season!

BIG VISION + EXPERIENCE CREATED OUT OF SOMETHING THAT HASN’T BEEN DONE BEFORE
Now to get to that secret…you know that there is something so special about what this person is building because they are eating, breathing, and sleeping it. They are also SO passionate about what they are doing that they are Building Something That Hasn’t Been Done Before. This is the secret! These people see a big vision of what they want to build. Then, they create an experience for their clients in a way that hasn’t been done before. People who are truly building out of a bigger vision will succeed. However, the key to this is that they have to be doing things that nobody else has done before. What doesn’t succeed is building out of what everyone else has done. You have to do the work and you have to be in every step of everything that you create if you want it to succeed. It’s not about just taking templates and replacing what you do. This will only take you so far. It is truly about building something that is so anointed, and that God has ordained. This needs to look so different than what everybody else has seen before.
This has been the key to a lot of my success throughout the years. The first example of this was when I ran a local photography program for seniors in high school. This was called a Senior Model Program. I had so much fun creating an epic experience out of this program. We would do about ten photo shoots that each had their own themes to them. This created a social experience out of my photography business. I hadn’t seen any other program in the nation that was like this. While I built this, I was thinking that I wanted it to be something that would be so fun to do.
Another example is the Costa Rica retreat that I just did. When I started to dream about a Costa Rica retreat, I was nervous because it was such a big thing to plan. I started praying and dreaming about what it would look like, who would it be focused on, what we would do, and what this retreat would truly look like. The Lord put it on my heart that this should be a fun, adventurous retreat. I wanted to do all the things that I love doing and bring women into that world with me. I wanted to teach women through this retreat to have fun again. I wanted them to experience life, to be pushed to the edge and for them to feel challenged. I wanted them to see the beauty of God’s creation while feeling alive and vibrant! With this retreat that I planned, I had never seen anything like it before.
The Selah Collective is another example of a new idea that I created. There are a lot of different coaching programs out there. However, I added elements to the Selah Collective that created a unique experience for being inside a coaching program. This also happens with our onboarding process and while working with our clients to provide support in certain ways. These elements are what make my programs successful.
WHY YOUR TESTIMONY IS SO IMPORTANT
If you don’t have clients buying into what you are selling, maybe you haven’t put enough of yourself into it. It’s not all about the templates or the expert advice. There comes a point where you need to build something that is so different from what everyone else is building, so that nothing else can compare. I truly believe that because I built things that made my heart come alive and that are so different from other things that I saw in the marketplace, it helped make my businesses so successful. This is why knowing your testimony is so important, because you need to build things that are in alignment with what you believe and value.
If we are building things, people need to see us and feel how excited our heart is about something. Don’t copy other people. Know when to create something that no one else has created. Think about that dream client and what they need from you to be successful. How can you take that online experience and make it come alive? How will people see, feel and know that your business is different from anything they have experienced before? If you are operating in something that you are not 100% bought into, it will just be temporary. It might not even sell.
DON’T COPY …KNOW HOW TO MARKET AND EXECUTE WITHOUT HACKJOBBING THINGS
Create something that is so unique, fun and different from what the world has seen before! Have people in awe of how anointed you are to be teaching your course! This is how you become successful! Be inside of it! Care about it! Be all in! Have 100% control of the experience that you are creating for others! Do the work! Use the templates. Take all the wisdom. Learn the functions. Learn how to create things. Learn how to market. Most importantly, have a big vision and create an incredible experience out of something that hasn’t been done before! Go Create It!!
