Sometimes it feels like 2020 will never end. We are still dealing with so much fallout and the promise of a better 2021 fell flat. The world feels even more isolated than when we were in quarantine, and it seems like we have been stumbling in the wilderness for far too long. It is time to start seeing this as a purification process and start moving out of the wilderness and into God’s calling. 2022 is just around the corner and we get to restart and refresh in the midst of this difficult season and I want to help you as a Christian business coach

Speak Up

Your business needs your voice…the voice of truth. Maintaining balance is difficult and in this current climate it is hard to speak up and go against the mainstream, but it is what God calls us to do. We have been challenged to be a voice of truth in a world where the culture is trying to silence us. Knowing when and how to speak is difficult and we have to give ourselves and others grace as we walk the tightrope of speaking up. Take small steps and start letting your voice be heard.

Perseverance Produces Hope

You might not always know your direction and that can be difficult, but God is out there sustaining you in the wilderness. You have to push through the wilderness and walk toward the hope. God speaks tenderly to us while we are in isolation and in the wilderness. He speaks to our broken, hurting, fearful and scared souls. Even God was tempted in the wilderness but he still stood by the truth and so must we. We can’t reduce our pain but we can trust God with our tender heart.

There is Purpose in the Wilderness

There is something that dies inside of us in these seasons of isolation and wilderness, but it is a purification process. Sometimes we don’t even see it until we are through the wilderness and God reveals himself in a new way. These trials and times of wilderness and isolation bring us closer to God and His purpose for our lives. It is like shedding our skin and walking the next path with a new heart and mind.

Don’t Look Back

Don’t miss stepping into the promised land because you are looking back and re-living the wilderness. The Israelites wanted to go back to Egypt when they were in the wilderness instead of trusting God and moving into the promised land. We have a choice when in the wilderness to step into something that might be scary or uncertain or to fall back to our “old selves”. Don’t get stuck in the past because the future is a bit uncertain. Don’t be like Lot’s wife and turn back toward Sodom and Gomorrah.

Walking out of the wilderness when you don’t know where you are going is hard, but it is time to shed your old skin, put the grief behind you and step into the new thing God has placed on your heart. There is a new season, full of life and color waiting for you if you are willing to walk toward Him!
