Online Offers, Pricing, Online Christian Business Owner

Hey, hey ladies. Today we’re talking about pricing. I’m really excited about this one because pricing is one of those topics that affects just about everything in your online business.

In this episode, I’m sharing four pricing tips that have helped me over the years as a Christian Online Business Coach, and that I see make the biggest difference for my students when they’re learning how to build an online coaching business that’s actually sustainable.

What I love about this conversation is that pricing applies to any kind of business. Whether it’s online business, local business, coaching, or courses, the principles are the same.

And here’s the truth I want to say right out of the gate:

Pricing has to be logical…but it’s also emotional.

If you’ve ever wrestled with what to charge, second-guessed yourself, or felt tension around money as a Christian woman in online business, you’re not alone. I see this all the time with women who feel called to serve deeply but don’t want to burn out or build something that simply isn’t sustainable.

So let’s break this down.

Tip #1 – Start With High-Ticket

My very first pricing tip is this: start with a high-ticket offer.

And before your brain jumps to conclusions, let me explain what I mean because I know that sometimes as Christians, we definitely have concerns about not wanting to charge too much.

Here’s the reality:

You will work just as hard signing your first client whether they’re paying $200 or $2,000.

That’s just math.

At the beginning of your online business, you’re not just selling an offer. You’re learning how to:

  • Work with people.
  • Serve them well.
  • Walk them through real transformation.

And there is simply not enough margin and time to do that well if you’re charging extremely low prices. A high-ticket price means you will be able to walk them through a high-ticket experience that you can feel really good about.

I had a student recently who told me, “I work with single moms. I don’t want to charge too much. Should I start low-ticket?”

And I told her the same thing I’ll tell you here: if you want to truly help someone, you need pricing that supports the experience you’re offering.

High-ticket pricing isn’t about charging crazy amounts right out of the gate. It’s about creating space to serve and to show up fully.

This is especially important for women learning how to build an online Christian coaching business from scratch. You don’t have a massive audience yet. You don’t have an email list of 10,000 people. The math simply doesn’t work for low-ticket offers early on.

Let’s say you want to make $10,000.

Is it easier to:

  • Sign 100 people at $100
  • Or sign 4 people at $2,500?

Conversion rates don’t lie. Math has to math.

That’s why I often recommend that my clients start their beta launches somewhere between $500–$1,500. And I consistently see women do very well once they hit the $1,000–$2,000 range.

And here’s something else that matters as an Online Business Coach:

When people invest, they show up differently.

One of my clients always says, “If you don’t pay, you don’t pay attention.” And honestly…that’s often true.

High-ticket pricing creates commitment. And commitment leads to transformation.

Tip #2 – Offer Tiered Pricing

The second pricing tip is to offer tiered pricing.

I have done this for years: in my photography business, in my first online business, and in everything I run now.

Typically, I offer two to three tiers:

  • A group coaching tier
  • A group coaching + mentoring tier
  • A VIP one-to-one tier

Most people land in the group tier. Some want more proximity. Others want the framework without extra support.

And that’s the point…different people want different things.

When you only offer one option, you’re unintentionally excluding people who would have said yes if they had a choice that fit their needs.

This is basic pricing psychology…just like shopping. You have a budget option (think Walmart), a premium option (think Gucci), and a middle ground (think Lululemon).

Tiered pricing gives people options – something I think we all appreciate.

Tip #3 – Show Pricing From High to Low

Tip number three is to show your pricing from high to low.

I don’t always do this, but I want you to understand the psychology behind it.

When someone sees the highest price first, their brain immediately starts asking: “What can I remove and still make this work?”

I learned this deeply during my photography years.

I used to run in-person sales sessions where clients would see their images in a slideshow. There would be music, emotion, and the whole experience. Then we’d build out a custom package together: wall art, albums, prints, digitals.

They almost never bought the top package.

Instead, they’d say, “Okay…what if we removed this and this?”

And that’s the point.

Seeing the high price first makes the lower tiers feel safe and doable.

This isn’t manipulation. It’s simply understanding how the human brain processes decisions.

Tip #4 – Offer Payment Plans & Pay-In-Full Incentives

The final pricing tip is to offer payment plans and pay-in-full incentives or bonuses.

Payment plans overcome objections. Period.

A lot of women don’t offer them because they’re afraid of what might go wrong. And yes,  sometimes payment plans lapse. That’s just a part of business.

But the reality is this:

When I offer payment plans, far more women are able to say yes

Payment plans also create recurring revenue, which brings stability to your business.

On the flip side, pay-in-full discounts or bonuses incentivize decisive action. For example, in my mentoring tier, clients get a retreat ticket included.

Even though you may be taking home less, it is extremely beneficial…it not only provides security that your program is getting paid for, but puts the money directly into your pocket for ad spend, or even to take that trip you’ve been wanting to go on.

Pricing should give people options, not pressure.

A Quick Heart Check on Pricing

Pricing is an art. It’s something you will test, adjust, and refine.

You don’t have to get it perfect on day one.

The important thing is to just start somewhere, and then raise prices slowly. Don’t be afraid to play with it a bit. Remember that you don’t have to keep your pricing the same forever.

For example, my base group coaching pricing has stayed relatively stable for years…since 2021! However, my mentoring tier has increased just simply due to my time becoming more valuable.

If you’re learning how to build a coaching business, pricing is not something to fear – it’s something to practice.

I hope these four tips have helped you think differently and gave you permission to build something that actually supports your calling…and go radically do the thing!
