Hey, hey guys! Long time no chat. I’m so excited to be back on the podcast and to share some exciting updates with you. After taking a much-needed sabbatical, I’m thrilled to reconnect and let you know what’s been happening with me and Ashley June Co. So grab your favorite drink, sit back, and join me as I walk you through my journey and the exciting new direction for our Christian coaching business.
My Sabbatical Journey
Over the past few weeks, I had the opportunity to step back and take a breather from the hustle and bustle of running a business. I embarked on a mini-sabbatical that not only gave me the chance to recharge but also provided the clarity I needed to align my business with where God is calling me next. During this time, I traveled to Europe, visiting Germany, Austria, and Hungary, retracing the steps of my grandfather who was stationed in Germany in the 60s. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip that allowed me to reflect deeply on my journey and where I want to take Ashley June Co. in the future.
Listening to God’s Voice
Before my sabbatical, I was feeling an overwhelming push to keep up with the demands of the coaching industry. I was caught in a cycle of constant creation, pushing through launches, and feeling the weight of anxiety over what was to come. I realized that I needed to pause and surrender my business to God, asking Him to guide me in the right direction. This period of rest was crucial for recalibrating my mind and spirit, allowing me to hear God’s voice clearly and understand His vision for my business.
Embracing the Eden Era
As I reflect on my sabbatical, I’m entering what I like to call my “Eden Era.” This new season is all about building my business from a place of peace and joy, rather than hustle and grind. I believe it’s time for a deeper level of impact, moving from doing and teaching to inspiring others. This shift involves changing the way I approach my business, focusing more on creating passive income streams through online courses and stepping back from one-on-one coaching.
During this time, I’ve been working on new offers and considering a rebranding for the podcast. I’m also planning to restructure the Selah Collective to better align with my current vision and values. These changes are exciting and a bit daunting, but I’m confident they will lead to a more fulfilling and impactful business journey.
Trusting God’s Plan
One of the biggest challenges I faced was the departure of a key team member. This added stress to an already intense period, but it also highlighted the importance of trusting God’s plan and timing. I had to pull back from running a live event and reassess my priorities. This experience reinforced the need to stop and listen to where God is leading me, rather than getting caught up in the pressures of the industry.
A Nervous System Reset
Taking this sabbatical allowed me to reset my nervous system and reclaim a sense of joy and peace that I hadn’t felt in a long time. I realized the importance of not constantly striving for productivity and efficiency but rather creating space for rest and reflection. This shift has been transformative, helping me to see clearly and make decisions from a place of peace rather than anxiety.
Looking Ahead
Moving forward, I’m excited to build my business with a renewed sense of purpose and intention. I plan to focus on creating online courses and group coaching programs that allow me to serve my clients effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This change will enable me to be more present for my family and enjoy the fruits of my labor in a more meaningful way.
A Season of Delight
In this new season, I’m embracing the opportunity to enjoy life more fully, rediscovering what brings me joy and delight. I’m grateful for the lessons learned during my sabbatical and the clarity it brought. As I continue to build Ashley June Co., I’m committed to staying aligned with God’s vision and creating a business that not only thrives but also serves as a ministry to others.
