2023 is upon us and now is a great time to get ready for the new year in your business! We’re in a changing world and economy and what worked in the past, isn’t going to work in the future for launching, growing, and scaling your business. I’m giving you practical ideas for your online coach or course-based business to work on right now to help you thrive in the ever-changing marketing world. As a Christian Business Coach, I’ve seen that businesses that pivot and change with the market are the ones that last long-term. We have to learn and adapt!
DIVERSIFIED STRATEGY
You need to have a diversified strategy to weather the storms of business. Even if one strategy is working right now, it will change eventually. In addition, if you put all your eggs in one basket and you happen to get shut down on that platform, then you’ve lost your entire business.
PERSONAL CONNECTION
In our current economy, people are taking longer to make financial investments. This means you need to nurture the relationships on a deeper level and for longer before they will purchase. There are also other benefits to nurturing relationships besides making a sale – you can really pre-qualify potential clients before they buy, you’ll know your clients better when they do purchase, and you can conduct free market research!
LIVE + EVERGREEN ELEMENTS
Having a combination of both live launch and evergreen elements in your business are going to be the best long-term strategy to help you thrive in the changing landscape. As people take longer to purchase, having both elements will draw in people over time.
RESILIENCE
Choose your hard. Building a business is really hard. Quitting is hard. But we’re here to run the race set out before us, and that requires resilience. Even if we are limping and fall down, we have to have resilience to keep going! Having a faith-based community to cheer you on can be life-giving and help you through the rough patches.
CASH FLOW
You have to spend money to make money. Investing in learning to help you start your business will pay off in the end because efficiency matters, otherwise you’ll burn out. Ultimately, for your business, you have to get to a point where you are bringing in money and in order to do that, you need to know what you are doing.
A COACH WITH YOUR VALUES
We are not meant to do this work alone. Building a business is exhausting and you will need encouragement. A coach who aligns with your values will understand your struggles in a way that other people don’t.
PRAYER
Remembering to pray for your business will give you clarity, peace, and will help you walk through the valleys and the mountain tops. Allow God to shoulder the burden you have in building your business. You aren’t meant to do this work alone, so invite God into your online coaching business.
