Hey, hey guys! Welcome to today’s episode, which is not really an episode. We are behind the scenes working on some exciting changes for the podcast that I’ve been praying about. But I couldn’t wait to share something incredible we have coming up this Okay, okay… I think I should fire my whole team. Totally kidding! But AI is literally blowing my mind right now, and I want to talk about what this looks like for Christian women in online business in this next era.
My team is amazing! It was actually so funny because I was working on some Claude stuff this past weekend and sending Amy, who is basically my right-hand person, all these things it was doing. I was like, “Oh my gosh, it’s updating my sales page! It’s duplicating emails!” and she was like, “Gosh, I hope it doesn’t take my job!!” No, no, no!
We still have a need for humans, but I do think AI will help more women in their online businesses. I think so many women are overwhelmed in life and online business because we have so many little menial tasks eating up a ridiculous amount of time. We’ve been stuck in this in-between stage with AI, where it can write a social media post or do some research, but it’s just giving you more tasks instead of actually implementing anything. I really think we’ve crossed a bridge, and things are about to get so much better for the women who are overwhelmed.
As a Christian Business Coach, I’ve figured out how to get AI to do some of these tasks right on my computer without me even touching it. I literally trained it just like I would train a team member. So today, I want to walk you through what AI should (and shouldn’t) be doing, how I’m actually using it, and all the potential I’m seeing… plus how you should use discernment here because I have thoughts on that too.
Tier One: Let AI Handle the Structure and Menial Tasks Eating Up Your Week
When you’re diving into AI, I think you need to segment what it should and shouldn’t be doing. Tier one is structure and menial tasks. This is anything you can refine, repeat, refine, repeat.
Ladies, you can literally train it to:
• Schedule things, like Facebook group posts for a launch or your membership
• Work in spreadsheets and gather data
• Create tasks from that data and organize your boards
• Put social media posts and content in order
• Keep formatting consistent (this one drives me crazy, so I love this!)
One of the things I was training Claude on was resetting my launch boards. I save and document all of my social media posts, all my emails, and even my day-to-day tasks during a launch, so I don’t have to think about it the next time around. Resetting all of that used to take my team a long time to chunk through, from duplicating emails to updating dates, links, Zoom links, and Google Calendar links.
This is the menial, but super important, stuff where there’s so much human error. Now, it can be totally systematized and literally work on our computer screens, which will save our team and my headspace hours and hours. This is exactly why having strong systems in your online business matters so much.
Tier Two: Use AI for Copy Support, But Never Let It Be Your Voice
Tier two is copy support. I like using AI for listing out benefits and getting descriptive, almost scientific-type statements that help me refine and get really clear on how I’d describe a bonus. I’ve always hated coming up with those short but powerful, outcome-based statements, so I’ve appreciated the help there.
But my day-to-day emails are usually pretty handwritten. I think it’s a travesty when people don’t have to become the visionary in their online business and walk through the process of understanding what to talk about. You learn structure and strategy by being forced to write, and I don’t think you can fully show up and lead well if you skip that thinking.
Here’s a pro hack: anytime I sell something, I write the sales page myself because that helps me really define the vision, the pain points, and the transformation. Once that exists, AI can pull out the bigger themes and help format something like an open registration email based on what I already thought through. I’m honestly so fortunate I had an online business before any of this came out because I had to figure all of it out for years. AI will not build your Christian online business for you, so don’t let it be your voice.
Tier Three: Human Connection Is the One Thing AI Can Never Replace
Tier three is human connection, and you can never get rid of it – it is always going to be needed. You might automate certain check-ins or billing reminders, but anything that requires real human connection should be the last thing you hand over to AI.
So as I’m discovering all of this, I’m going to be repositioning team member roles and our interns to focus more deeply on human connection. They’ll be double-checking that the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed, instead of being deep in the nitty-gritty of how to schedule a Facebook post. I want to bring all of us up into the visionary work.
How I Am Actually Using AI (And Yes, My Laptop Literally Blew Up)
Okay, funny/not funny story! I was working in bed this last weekend because I have really nice window light in my bedroom, and my laptop was sitting on my big down comforter while I was testing out some of these AI things. It got too hot and literally blew up–it popped, it smoked, and it was kind of terrifying!
It’s getting shipped to the Apple Store, and I think the fix is around a thousand dollars. But I’m not even mad because that was the day that I was learning all of this and realized how much time and money I could save. So, ladies, do not work with a blanket underneath your laptop!
That day, I got something done that would have taken my team maybe two weeks:
• Reset a whole launch
• Changed dates and updated date sequences
• Duplicated, arranged, and scheduled emails
• Updated the bonuses
• Updated the social media posts
I use Asana as my task organizer, and that’s how I communicate with my AI. It can see what my project is doing in my Asana board. I literally figured out how to save like 40 hours of work in a week, maybe more, and I’m not even joking.
Why You Have to Get Organized on the Structure Before Any of This
The reason AI works so well for me is that I have all the content and structure from things I’ve manually done myself many, many times. I’ve organized all of it, so AI is so much easier to use.
You have to actually understand what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, why things are going out on a certain day, and what needs to be updated. This is not about letting AI be your visionary. It’s about AI being your little task rabbit, and this is something I teach all my students: how to structure and document every single aspect of your marketing so you can go back, repeat, and refine.
So Much Potential for Christian Women in Online Business, But Stay Discerning
I’m so excited because I think there’s freedom to run leaner, have a smaller team, and keep more things in-house. Your online business goes through shifts, and sometimes you lose a right-hand person and have to do everything yourself while you train someone new. It’s really neat to know you can have a backup plan and run a lean team as a Christian woman in online business.
I also have a ton of clients in their 50s and 60s who hate tech. My 60-year-old client isn’t going to have to learn the nitty-gritty of how to post in a Facebook group anymore! Tech doesn’t have to be the barrier for women called by God to go do this thing, and I love that more women will get to focus on the vision work instead of the 50-billion-item checklist.
But we have to be discerning. A couple of months ago I polled my audience in email and in my Facebook group, and about 0-10% of Christian women said they were 100% against AI. About 50% said it needs to be used with discernment, and I 100% agree. Honestly, some of the meanest, nastiest people I’ve met have been awful to me because they hate AI, and I get that this is polarizing.
There are real questions, like security and whether your financial information is protected, and we don’t fully know. So segment it. Ask yourself, “Is this my copy and my voice, or is this my assistant?” Once you’re really doing the online business thing, AI can be your assistant and help take the overwhelm away in your online coaching business for Christian women.
It’s Not About Replacing People, It’s About Getting Your Hours Back
My mind is blown, and I’m already thinking about how I can integrate this into my programs. I don’t think it’s about replacing people. I think it’s about getting the menial stuff off your plate, so you can focus on your voice, the vision God gave you, and human connection.
But it starts with structure, so get organized first. And stay tuned, because something really exciting is coming soon!
