AI. You love it or you hate it…but either way, it’s here to stay.
And honestly? I think this is how people probably felt when the internet first came around. It was massive, world-shifting, and honestly kind of terrifying. As a Christian Business Coach and mama running an online business, I’ve had to wrestle with that tension – how do I embrace innovation while staying aligned with biblical truth and discernment?
Some days it feels exciting and empowering. Other days, it feels like we’re one step away from Terminator.
But here’s what I know for sure – AI isn’t going anywhere. And while it can absolutely be misused, I also believe that we as believers can choose to use it for good…for efficiency, for creativity, and even for Kingdom impact.
So today, I want to share 3 ways I’ve used AI this year to manage my online business operations – from hiring, to customer service, to building custom tools that actually serve my team and students inside my Christian coaching programs.
Using AI in the Hiring Process
When it comes to hiring, I used to feel completely overwhelmed. There’s nothing worse than sorting through dozens of applications that all start to sound the same.
So I built a system – and yes, I invited AI into it.
I walk every candidate through several “homework” steps and small projects before I even review their full application. I also make it clear that certain tasks must be completed without AI assistance – because I want to see their actual voice and problem-solving ability.
Then, I use AI to help me filter through applications, spot red flags, and identify alignment with our company culture.
Here’s the cool part – I even tested their work in ChatGPT to check if it was AI-generated. Talk about full circle!
After interviews, I dropped my notes into ChatGPT and asked for a summarized comparison of each candidate – strengths, weaknesses, and standout moments. I prayed through the decisions, but the clarity I got was next-level.
And when I told my husband about it later at dinner, he literally said the same thing ChatGPT did. That’s when I realized: AI wasn’t replacing discernment – it was supporting it.
As a Christian entrepreneur, that’s what I love about tools like this. They’re not here to replace wisdom, leadership, or prayer…they’re here to help us steward time and resources more effectively.
If you’re a Christian Life Coach or business owner who’s hiring, I highly recommend using AI to assist in organization and discernment – but never in place of prayer and human connection.
Improving Customer Service (Without Losing the Personal Touch)
One of the best decisions I made this year was creating a Custom Inbox Helper GPT for my team.
We already had email templates and protocols, but let’s be real – not every message fits perfectly into a canned response. Some need empathy. Some need extra clarity. And some just need a softer tone.
By running our messages through ChatGPT, we’ve been able to:
- Write responses that sound more professional and more heartfelt.
- De-escalate tense customer situations by rewording messages with grace.
- Cut our response time in half without losing authenticity.
It’s also been a training tool for new team members – helping them recognize what kind of messages deserve a personal touch versus an automated reply.
Here’s the truth: AI will never replace real people. But it can help your team communicate more clearly and consistently.
If you’re a Christian Business Coach, imagine freeing up hours of your week while still serving your clients well. That’s what using AI with integrity looks like – multiplying your impact, not minimizing your voice.
Building Custom GPTs for Students and Operations
This one blew my mind.
We started creating custom GPTs to serve our students inside my group programs – walking them through every stage of building a faith-based coaching business.
From clarifying “I help” statements and mapping out signature frameworks, to crafting launch plans and storytelling content – these custom bots became built-in business assistants that helped my students take action faster.
And for my own operations?
I built a Promotion Bot that helps us map out weekly promotions, brainstorm content, and plan launches with ease. What used to take 10 hours a week now takes two.
That’s what I mean when I say AI can optimize without replacing.
I even use ChatGPT for tech support – helping troubleshoot ad errors, platform updates, or funnel builder issues. Instead of spending hours Googling, I can get a quick solution in minutes.
As a Christian coach, I’ve learned that embracing these tools isn’t “worldly” – it’s wise stewardship. When you learn how to build a coaching business in partnership with God and modern tools, you operate from rest instead of chaos.
The Key: Use AI to Multiply, Not Replace
Here’s the balance I’ve found, AI should never replace your voice or your relationships. It’s not your husband, it’s not your team, and it’s not your Holy Spirit guidance.
But when used with prayerful discernment, it can multiply your impact and free you to focus on what matters – discipleship, creativity, and family.
So whether you’re using it to hire, write content, or streamline your systems…remember that tools serve vision. And when your vision is led by Christ, even technology can become a tool for Kingdom growth.
