These days, I am homeschooling my kids and doing my Christian business. Let’s chat about what building a business in these seasons really looks like behind the scenes. Let’s talk about how to successfully build a business when you have so many other things going on. I know what this is like and have been through this. In 2018, right before I had my third baby, I stopped my photography business and stepped into a season of building a new business that God was calling me to. How did I find the time with three littles at home? Well, Naptime Hustles were my jam! Today I am walking you through what it looks like to grind and push your way through the resistance of stepping into your calling, while still showing up for your family.
BE FLEXIBLE + GET THE FAMILY ON BOARD
If you are like me, having the children full-time at home can be challenging when you are trying to focus on completing tasks for your coaching business. Being a wife and a mom is definitely your first priority, so when it comes to scheduling time dedicated to your business, you’re really working a pretty tight schedule. You must be flexible with knowing that things can and will change at any given moment. Different seasons are going to look different and we need to be flexible when they come. Adapt in those seasons! Be flexible! Get your family on board! Keep your priorities in line!
SUBMIT YOUR TIMING TO GOD
God is in control! Sometimes we are in seasons of pushing hard and sometimes it is a season of rest. However, we still need to show up and do our part in what God has called us to do. We as Christians need to get out of the laziness mentality and thinking that God will just do it all. We need to do the work! Understand that His grace is sufficient and made perfect through our weakness.
THE GRIND WILL PAY OFF
The GRIND of putting in the much needed work at the beginning will PAY OFF! I now work 15 hours a week on average and have created my business around my children’s school schedule. God has given us a mind that can be very creative and if we want something bad enough, we can make it work. Make your business your hobby! Do what it takes!
This is a GREAT time to build…because there is never a good time to build. Building a thriving coaching business is possible. But you do have to sacrifice for a season. You do have to be flexible. You do have to do your best to get your family on board. So, get on board with the process and DO NOT take no for an answer! There are so many opportunities waiting for you!
