Ultimately when you’re developing your coaching method, there are multiple things to think about such as how to unpack it, how to brand it, and how to market it. A lot of coaches do not walk in knowing exactly what their coaching method is, and that’s OK! Your coaching method is a huge part of selling your programs because people LOVE knowing YOUR process. Think of it as the secret sauce to starting your coaching business!
People want to know the route to reaching their destination. They want to see the whole thing. But we don’t have to give them all the details, just the themes on how to get there. As coaches, we need to figure out how to share that drive for our clients! This is your method to help your clients get from one place to another. This helps you to communicate clearly what your client needs to know.
UNPACKING YOUR METHOD
So here’s the good news – when it comes to unpacking your coaching method you don’t have to search beyond the horizon. Believe it or not, you’ve already walked through it in your very own unique way. This is part of your testimony. You have already walked through something and experienced the ups and downs in it. Now you can help people get through it like you did and maybe avoid some of the mistakes that you made. Everything is literally inside of you for unpacking your method!
BRANDING YOUR METHOD
You need to help people understand what you are teaching them and the process that they will walk through! Sometimes this method just comes to you. My method came to me in 2018 and I call it the bloom method. I first used it in my photography space and now I continue to use it in the online world.
My Bloom Method is all about walking through the stages on how a flower needs to bloom. It relates to the stages that a business needs to go through. The first phase is the roots phase. The seeds need to be planted so that the roots can take ground. These are your dream seeds that God has given you. Make sure your root system is good so that you continue to grow.
My second phase is called the stem phase. The stems come through the soil once the roots have been planted. The stems are where you are deciding things about your business. You are planning out what you want to teach somebody. My third phase is the bud phase. This is the branding and messaging phase. Here is where you dig into your testimony and come up with your target market.
The fourth phase is my vital stage. These are the things that help the buds grow. This is the marketing and work flow phase. This is what gives you the momentum to build your business. The fifth stage is the bloom phase! This is the harvest, money phase. This is the phase where you get to reap what you have sewn. And you need to be consistent in this phase.
MARKETING YOUR METHOD
Once you have branded your coaching method, it is time to connect stories to it. Share stories of your clients and how they have been successful. You need to communicate your method in a way that will captivate the heart of your clients. So much of your marketing will come from the behind the scenes work you’ve already done. Ultimately, show HOW people have walked through this signature method of yours and have seen breakthroughs.
