Hey ladies! The holidays are sneaking in fast – can you believe Christmas is almost here?! Every year it feels like I blink and suddenly we’re in full-on peppermint mocha and Christmas playlist mode. And if you’re anything like me, you’re probably realizing that you still have time to get something incredible out into the world before the end of the year.
So in today’s episode, I want to walk you through the five steps to plan the perfect holiday marketing and sales promotion as a Holy Spirit-led entrepreneur. Whether you’re planning a Black Friday deal, a Christmas bundle, or a simple year-end flash sale, this episode will give you the exact framework I personally use (and what I teach inside The Selah Collective) to map out promos that actually convert – all without the overwhelm.
Start with Vision – Lay the Foundation for What You’re Building
Every promotion starts with a vision. You need to define why you’re launching, who this is going to help, and what the purpose behind it is. As a Christian Business Coach, I’ve learned that when you start with clarity and purpose, everything else flows so much smoother.
This is your time to dream a little.
What problem are you solving for your audience this holiday season?
What do you feel the Holy Spirit is asking you to release?
Maybe it’s a holiday devotional, a done-for-you business bundle, or even a pre-sale for your next coaching round in January. Whatever it is – get that vision clear. Without it, your promotion loses the heart behind it and becomes just another offer in a sea of noise instead of a Kingdom opportunity that impacts lives.
Structure Your Offer – Decide What You’re Selling and How
Once your vision is solid, it’s time to create the structure – the offer itself. What are you selling? How will it be delivered? What bonuses or special incentives are you adding? For example, when I build my own holiday offers, I like to include limited-time bonuses like my Done-For-You Black Friday Promo Kit or access to The Productivity Playbook. These add urgency but also create real value that blesses people where they are right now.
Ask yourself:
- Is this an instant-delivery product or something you’ll deliver in January?
- Can you add a quick bonus to make the offer irresistible?
- What is your clear CTA – your call to action?
Remember: clarity sells. A confused buyer won’t buy.
Messaging & Branding – How You Package the Offer Matters
This is where your offer turns from an idea into something people can emotionally connect with. You have to learn how to talk about it. How do you position it? How do you visually present it? What kind of transformation are you promising?
This is the heartbeat of your marketing.
Your branding should reflect the story behind your offer – not just the features, but the feelings. For instance, if you’re a Christian Life Coach helping women overcome burnout, your messaging might center around rest and renewal for the soul. If you’re a Faith-Based Business Coach, maybe it’s about building your business God’s way in a season when everyone else is hustling.
Use storytelling. Share your personal experiences. Be honest about the struggles you’ve faced and how this offer solves the same problem for others. And don’t forget the visuals – colors, fonts, and imagery that carry your brand’s Holy Spirit-led vibe. When your brand feels anointed, it draws people in.
Audience Building & Marketing – Get Eyes on Your Offer
Now that your message and brand are clear, it’s time to get it in front of people. This is where you build your audience and marketing plan. Where are you going to launch? Instagram? Email? Podcast? Pinterest? Start warming up your audience before the launch. Post teasers, share behind-the-scenes prep and send emails that hint at what’s coming. Build curiosity and excitement – people need time to mentally and emotionally prepare for a buying decision.
Inside The Selah Collective, we teach a framework called the Bloom Method – a five-phase system that mirrors this exact process. When you plant seeds early (with consistent nurturing and storytelling), your audience will be ready when it’s time to buy.
And if you’re planning your holiday marketing right now? You still have time. You can absolutely build and launch something within the next week or two if you stay focused and follow this framework.
Sales Process – Execute with Excellence
This is where the rubber meets the road. The sales process is where you build the sales page, finalize your checkout flow, write your emails and post your launch content. It’s also where you realign your offer for sales – adjusting bonuses, refining the copy and creating urgency with limited-time discounts or scarcity (like 5-day windows or price jumps).
Here’s a pro tip I use in my own launches: I write all my sales emails first, then I repurpose that copy into social media posts, reels and stories. It keeps everything consistent and Spirit-led, without reinventing the wheel each day. You can build something simple or complex – but remember, simple often sells better.
Diagnosing What’s Not Working
If you’ve ever run a promotion and it didn’t convert, this framework helps you diagnose where things broke down. Maybe your offer was solid, but your messaging didn’t connect. Maybe your sales page was great, but you didn’t have enough traffic. Or maybe you jumped to the sales process without ever building trust with your audience first. When things aren’t selling, it’s usually not that your business is broken – it’s that one of these five pieces is out of alignment.
You Still Have Time to Launch Something Powerful This Year
I know it’s tempting to think, It’s too late.
But friend – it’s not.
You can still create something powerful for your audience in just a few days. You could pre-sell a new coaching program for the new year. You could bundle your best trainings into a holiday sale. You could even offer a simple gift-card-style coaching credit for January sessions. The point is – you can simplify or complicate this process.
Either way, the five steps remain the same: Vision → Structure → Messaging → Marketing → Sales
When you walk through them in order, everything flows so much smoother and you start building marketing assets that last long after the holidays are over.
Final Thoughts
At the end of the day, God is a God of order.
And your marketing should reflect that same order. You can’t have a bloom without planting the seed first – that’s why we call it the Bloom Framework inside The Selah Collective. So, as you head into this season, I want you to pause, pray and plan. Ask the Lord what He wants to do through your business this holiday season. Because when you build from His vision, your promotion won’t just make sales – it’ll make Kingdom impact.
