Hey hey, sweet friends! Summer is officially in the air and I’m feeling it in all the best ways. At the time of this episode airing, I am just wrapping up a multi-week adventure through Ireland, London, and Northern France with my mom and my grandpa (a walking encyclopedia, truly). We’ve been tracing our family roots, exploring WWII history, and making memories that are beyond priceless.
But if you’re wondering…Ashley, how on earth do you keep your online Christian coaching business running while hopping around Europe? This blog post (and episode) is for you.
I’m breaking down exactly how I’m structuring my family life and online business this summer, so I can maintain momentum without burning out or falling behind. And trust me—it’s not about hustle culture. It’s about flow, fun, and faith-fueled strategy.
Let’s dive in.
What Our Summer Looks Like as a Set-Apart Family
I love summer. I love the freedom. I love the space. And honestly, I love getting that deeper CEO-level thinking time that’s often hard to come by during heavy launch seasons.
This summer is packed with meaning for our family. Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve got going on:
—Europe Trip: Ireland (Cork County, so much family history!), London (my grandmother’s roots), and Normandy (we lost a family member there during WWII). These trips are more than vacations, they’re legacy trips, walking through places that shaped who we are.
—Alaska Cruise in July: We’re celebrating my in-laws’ anniversary in one of the most breathtaking places in the world. I haven’t cruised since I was pregnant with my first and dealing with all the morning sickness, so fingers crossed this one’s a totally different experience!
—Summer Camp: All three kids are heading to camp this year, our youngest begged to go, and we’re so excited for him.
—Water World: One of our favorite family traditions! It’s one of the largest waterparks in the country (maybe the world?) and we make it a summer staple.
—Softball & Baseball: I’m the head coach for my girls’ softball team (yes, your girl has a deep love of the game), and our son is playing baseball.
—Camping + 14-Year Anniversary: We’ve got a special camping trip planned to celebrate 14 years of marriage. Crazy how fast it flies, right?
It’s a rhythm of fun, rest, and reconnection.
Behind the Scenes of My Online Christian Coaching Business in the Summer
Now let’s talk business. If you’re an Online Christian Business Coach, Christian Life Coach, or running an online course or coaching offer – lean in. Because this is how I’m keeping my sales flowing without hustle and burnout.
Here’s the truth: I don’t do heavy launches or intense calls in the summer. This is my time to reset my nervous system, maintain backend systems, and get quiet enough to hear fresh strategy from the Lord.
Here’s what my online business schedule looks like right now:
- 1–3 Calls a Week Max: And sometimes even fewer. I take at least one week off a month from any coaching calls. If I’m traveling, I plan ahead and shift things to make space.
- Funnel Running 24/7: My evergreen funnel continues to bring in new clients every month, even during slower summer months. July is actually one of the best times to run Facebook ads because costs are low, and people are still online.
- CEO Time = Deep Work: I use summer to think big picture. I’m not launching, but I am building funnels, updating backend systems, and prepping for fall promotions.
- Internship Reset: We’re closing out one intern season and reopening mid-July. It’s part of a long-term rhythm that helps us stay productive and onboard help when needed.
- Mastermind Re-Opens in August: We accept just 1–2 women a month into the mastermind, and we’ll be opening again later this summer to prep for a strong fall.
And friends, I’m still running my online business in 5–15 hours a week. That’s how I designed it. That’s what I teach.
Marketing Strategy: What’s Actually Working Right Now
Let’s get into the meat of my marketing strategy. I’m not doing random busy work. I’m building repeatable systems that align with our values and revenue goals.
If you’re trying to figure out how to build an online coaching business without sacrificing family time or burning out in the process, here’s a sneak peek into what I’m doing (and not doing).
- Live Launches Only 4x a Year: I plan to run our signature Set-Apart Launch event four times this year. We already did February and May. Next up? Likely September and then again in November or December.
- Student Retreats Twice a Year: We’re heading to Winter Park, Colorado this fall (mountains!) and then usually do beach locations in the spring. These are deep, transformational retreats for our students, and they fuel me spiritually and creatively.
- Evergreen Strategy: We’re doubling down on evergreen funnel optimizations this summer, especially on lower-ticket product sales. That way, while I’m traveling or coaching softball, my business doesn’t pause.
- The Productivity Playbook: This is the exact system I use to keep everything organized—from weekly content, to daily tasks, to launch prep. It helps you plan out your business goals by month, and break them into bite-sized actions.
Why This Rhythm Works (and What You Can Learn)
One thing I’ve learned over the years: you can’t do it all. And you’re not meant to. When I finally surrendered my calendar to the Lord and started planning my launches, travel, homeschool, and rest rhythms with intention, everything changed.
Now I can say with full confidence:
—I’m building a Holy Spirit-led online business that’s deeply profitable and aligned with my family values.
—I’m scaling in a sustainable way without the overwhelm.
—I’m showing my kids what it looks like to work hard, rest well, and build with purpose.
That’s what it means to be a set-apart Christian CEO.
