The world is on FIRE!! It feels scary when we are being surrounded by the awful reports of the media. But what’s funny is that my whole business has been built during a recession. We are going to need to change and adapt as the world continues to change. Walk with God and be in touch with the Holy Spirit and what He wants to do through your business in these seasons.
GOD KNOWS IT ALL
There really is never a good time to start or build your online coaching business. Sure you may be a busy stay at home mom with three little children in the midst of a recession – Trust me I GET IT! The thing is… God knows it all and He is still calling us to build in such a time as this. When we entered into this world and decided to be Holy-Spirit led, we knew there would be tribulation. But what I can tell you is that if God has called you to do something, don’t let fear stop you from being obedient to the call because His plan is perfect. He will provide and He is in control!
EVERYONE IS STRUGGLING
Everyone is struggling to fight through their own personal battle. All of my clients have faced obstacles when building their businesses. They’ve experienced loss, sacrifice and all the things that make it so hard to build their businesses. The difference is that they’ve made a choice to push through and be resilient even in the midst of the fire. Choose what you will do in the middle of your struggle. Will you give up on what you are called to do, or will you push through with perseverance? What you do today will impact what you do in the next 12 months.
THERE WILL NEVER BE AN IDEAL TIME
There will always be excuses. The people who are successful are the ones who stop making them. They realize how human they are and they move forward. They make a commitment to keep putting one foot in front of the other, no matter what is going on.

The first time I actually launched The Selah Collective, in the fall of 2021, I had to spend two days in the hospital with my daughter after she had a seizure at school. It definitely wasn’t the best timing.. but I pushed through it. With the help of God, I showed up for my daughter and I still was able to finish launching while showing up raw and real. I kept going and did not make an excuse for why I couldn’t do it!
Be ready to overcome. Have resilience in these moments! Be aware! Put on your armor every single day. Have hope. Keep moving forward. Sew properly. You will see a return.
