Have you been feeling lately like the things you did in the last season are not going to get you through the next season? I know I have been. Join me as I share what I’ve been processing over these last few months as an online business owner and Christian business coach, plus what I think God is going to be doing with Holy Spirit Filled businesses moving forward. It’s time to either follow God as he calls us to UPLEVEL – or sink from trying to do it in our own strength. This next season is going to be all about learning to pivot and embrace the season God is calling us to.

QUICK OBEDIENCE
One key aspect of operating a holy-spirit inspired business is embracing the call to quick obedience. It’s not always easy, especially when navigating the delicate balance between our spiritual path and the demands of the business world. Especially when it involves making decisions that impact our finances, families, and communities. But it’s essential to trust God’s guidance all the way.
That’s why after putting in tons of work between me and my OBM to launch the Selah Mastermind, God called me to pull it back. I was so excited to run the mastermind, but I realized that I could better serve my clients by absorbing the mastermind program into the mentoring track of the Selah Collective. And as hard as it was, this quick obedience opened so many doors for me to expand my current program and follow my students every step of the way. But, that is the way God works, we walk by faith and not by sight, and when he calls us to pivot we do, because that is quick obedience.
MINDSET
Mindset is so important as we move through different seasons – whether it’s growth, scaling, launching, or focusing on family. As I move into this next season, adding homeschool teacher to my already massive pile of hats, I recognize how important it is to know and acknowledge my own capacity, so that I can function at my best. I realized that I have to conserve my energy for what God is calling me to, in order to focus on what I am doing well and make it better, rather than jumping on the trend of new, new, new.
Sometimes, focusing on the main thing and making it even better can lead to more effective scaling, despite the temptation to constantly add more to our plates. As we look forward to the next 6 months, let’s be strategic and decide what is worth our energy so that we can be our best selves, and good stewards of what God has given us.
OPEN HAND
Our human nature is to take things into our own hands and do, do, do. But, we need to embrace the concept of keeping an open hand and allowing God’s plans to unfold beyond our limited perspective. As you know, my family invested in an “easy” commercial building with tenants that had no intention of leaving, it was a no-brainer business decision. But a few months down the road things changed and we had to surrender to God with an open hand and let him take control. BUT – that’s the beauty of leaning into our relationship with God, despite our limited perspectives He sees all, and when we embrace an open hand perspective, we no longer have to carry the stress of uncertainty. Flexibility and perseverance become essential as we adjust our plans, understanding that trials ultimately lead to growth and resilience.
As we move into this new season, I am excited to see what comes! The freshness of fall and a new routine, from homeschooling to business, I am embracing the changes and focusing on the future. As a Christian business owner, reflect on your own journey, embrace quick obedience, cultivate an open hand, and nurture the right mindset. And remember, the path ahead may be uncertain, but with faith and intentional choices, success is right down the road. Thanks for joining me in this episode – here’s to the exciting journey ahead!!
