When I first became a Christian entrepreneur, I wanted to own my own business for FREEDOM. I never felt like I fit in the corporate world so I was ready to be my own boss. I didn’t want to feel like I had to follow the rules of other people or be pressured to compromise my beliefs. I am so passionate about this topic that I dedicated this whole episode to share 5 ways you can create a freedom-oriented business for yourself.
#1 Chase That Calling
God has created all of us for something incredibly special, so chase the calling he has put on your heart. For me, I feel like this is YEARS in the making. God gave me a vision of what I desired to do down the road, but he’s been paving the path. Starting off in the local service industry….to being a Christian business coach….to eventually, I believe, inspiring.
#2 Choose The Right Audience
Choose an audience that allows you to be authentic. You don’t want to waste time impressing people that you don’t like. Strive to connect with YOUR PEOPLE.
#3 Fight for that Freedom
Pray often and earnestly. Fight for the dream God placed on your heart and stay hopeful. Don’t give up when it feels hard and battle through the heartbreaks. Too many people quit right before a breakthrough. I am so glad I took the leaps of faith I did because if I didn’t I wouldn’t be an online business coach now!
#4 Develop Systems that Give Your Freedom
This is a HUGE one!! Find ways to make your business run smoother. This could look like creating/perfecting systems, creating automations, delegating tasks, or asking for help. This will make work so much easier and you will have more time.
#5 Build For Your Legacy
Ultimately, build for your legacy but make sure it aligns with God’s plan for you. Build for the future, not only of yourself but for generations to come. Look at your legacy as a gift for generations to come.
Freedom isn’t just about money and time. Continue to submit your dreams and plans to the Lord and let him guide you.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
– Romans 5:3-5
