Faith Based Business, Online Coaching, Women Entrepreneurs

Hey ladies. Today’s episode is for the woman who feels like she’s standing in the doorway of something – but hasn’t stepped through yet.

You know what I’m talking about.

You feel the nudge to build a faith-based online business. You have ideas, whispers, dreams…maybe you’ve even dipped your pinky toe in the water already. But you’re stuck asking the same questions over and over again:

  • Am I actually ready?
  • Should I go all in?
  • Should I keep building this on the side?
  • Or should I just stop thinking about it altogether?

If that’s you, I want you to hear this right away: this tension is normal. Especially for Christian women in business who want to honor God, steward their families well, and build something meaningful in the online space.

I want to help you stop guessing and start discerning, so I’m sharing three ways you can tell when you’re genuinely ready to launch your faith-based online business.

The In-Between Is a Real Place – and It Can Feel So Heavy

One of the hardest places to be as a Christian entrepreneur is the in-between.

You’re not fully “in,” but you’re not out either. You haven’t committed to building your online coaching business, but you also can’t shake the sense that you’re meant for more. That middle space creates a lot of confusion, anxiety, and second-guessing.

I’ve been there. Multiple times.

And while walking by faith often starts without clarity, there comes a point where staying in the middle actually creates more stress than choosing a direction. Scripture tells us we’re not called to be lukewarm – and I don’t think that applies only to faith. I think it applies to how we move forward when God puts something in our hands and on our hearts.

When you sit too long without vision, boundaries, or a clear path, it becomes exhausting. At some point, you just have to make the simple decision: Am I going to move left, or am I going to move right?

Even if that decision sounds like, “I don’t fully know what God is doing yet, but I’m going to start walking this way and commit to it with excellence.”

That’s faith in motion.

Sign #1 Your Ready to Launch: God’s Timing Feels Faster or Slower Than Yours

One of the clearest signs you’re ready to launch a faith-based online business is when God’s timing doesn’t match your own.

Sometimes He asks you to move faster than you’d like.

Other times, He slows you down when you want clarity now.

This reminds me so clearly of when I launched The Selah Collective in the fall of 2021. That launch happened much sooner than I planned. I didn’t have the course fully built. I was stepping into a new audience. I knew I was signing up for months of work and creation – and honestly, I didn’t feel “ready” by worldly standards.

But I also knew that if I delayed, I might lose the momentum, excitement, and obedience that God had given me.

So I moved – even though it was way sooner than I wanted to.

At the same time, I didn’t completely let go of what was already working and bringing us income. For a season, I ran two different programs in two different industries. I didn’t put all my eggs in one basket. I wanted to prove that I could actually sustain this new direction that I wanted to go without getting rid of the old direction.

And within about six months, the direction became very clear. I had a very successful first launch for that new industry program – which was helping faith-based online businesses launch and get them to their first 100K.

It wasn’t my timing – but God’s timing was so much better.

When God is asking you to move at a pace that stretches you – faster or slower than feels comfortable – it’s often confirmation that you’re ready to step out and launch.

Sign #2: The Message Won’t Stop Flowing

Another sign you’re ready to launch?

The message is just pouring out of you and you can’t stop talking about your new idea.

The ideas are just flowing and you are so excited to do this thing.

This happens to me every time I’m called to launch something new.

God gives me the vision, He brings the pieces together and I just let it play out. The ideas just start streaming out of me and I am truly amazed by it. It’s so good, it has to be God!

Right now, as I’m recording this episode, I’m in that exact season again. Something new has been forming for a while – that I’m very excited about – and I’ve been waiting – praying, confirming, and watching the pieces fall together.

And while I don’t have every answer yet, I’m taking the next steps and trusting God to direct my path in His perfect timing.

If the message keeps flowing, that’s not random inspiration. That’s often a divine assignment.

Sign #3: What You’re Launching Will Heal You & Others

Many Christian women believe they need to be fully healed, fully confident, and fully qualified before they launch. While you do need emotional and spiritual stability to serve people well, healing doesn’t always come before obedience.

Sometimes healing comes through obedience.

Every major business transition I’ve walked through has been paired with a season of pain, loss, or refinement. I launched my first local business after being fired and emotionally crushed by a mentor relationship. Building that business was part of reclaiming my authority and understanding who God created me to be. It was truly healing for me.

I launched my online business after a very difficult situation and deep family challenges – all while pregnant and postpartum. That online business became a place of restoration.

And I launched The Selah Collective after walking through the trauma of 2020, cancel-culture, and personal heartbreak. Serving other women became part of my healing.

Your program doesn’t need to come from perfection. It needs to come from obedience.

You only need to be 10% ahead of the person you’re called to help.

If you’re a Christian Life Coach, a health coach, a marriage coach, or a Christian Business Coach – or any kind of coach – and you feel called to launch something that will continue to heal you and others, then girl…go launch the thing.

You Don’t Need Everything Figured Out

I want to say this clearly.

Readiness is not having all the answers, it’s responding to the invitation.

This is not meant to be an exhaustive checklist. It’s discernment. And if these themes are tugging on your heart – timing that is faster or slower than you’d like, a message that won’t stop pouring out of you, and/or a calling tied to healing – it’s your sign that it’s time to move.

God has a great plan for you. And He’s not confused about your next step, even if you feel unsure.
