Okay ladies…this one’s a rant! A Holy Spirit-led, pull-up-your-big-girl-pants, business coach style, kind of talk. Because I’m seeing something in the Christian coaching space that I just can’t stay quiet about. And it’s this:
ChatGPT will not build your online business for you.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m not against tech. I’m not even against AI. In fact, I actually like ChatGPT. I use it in my own online coaching business. I’ve used it to create meal plans (minus the salmon because ew, no thanks). I’ve asked it for help when I was sick with strep. I even used it to help me prepare for a hard conversation that I wanted to approach with sensitivity.
But here’s the deal: ChatGPT is a great resource—but it needs YOUR voice, YOUR vision, and YOUR conviction.
And if you’re relying on AI to be the brains, the builder, and the brand of your Christian online business…girl, you’re setting yourself up to stall out before you even get momentum.
The Temptation to Let AI Lead (And Why It’s a Trap)
Let’s be real. AI is impressive. I’ve even heard people say that ChatGPT is the new Google. You can feed it information, and it will spit out something pretty decent, pretty fast.
But here’s the catch: It can only ever be as good as the information you feed it.
And I’m seeing way too many women in the online Christian coaching space who are letting ChatGPT do everything—every caption, every email, every sales page, every post. Then they wonder why they’re stuck. Why their messaging feels off. Why they don’t stand out online.
Your business is not a copy-paste project.
It’s a calling. It’s a ministry. It’s a movement.
And you can’t automate obedience. You can’t outsource anointing. You can’t AI your way through spiritual discernment.
I Built My Business Without AI—And I’m So Grateful I Did
When I was branding my online coaching business, I didn’t have ChatGPT. I didn’t have bots. I didn’t have the shortcuts.
What did I have?
- A dream.
- A word from God.
- Three babies at home.
- And a laptop full of prayer and potential.
I launched, failed, re-launched, refined, and built what became a 7-figure online business coaching business—without relying on AI to tell me who I was or what I was supposed to say.
Yes, now our team uses ChatGPT to help refine our messaging or stretch a single post into five. But we don’t let it lead. And that’s the difference.
You can’t fake the fruit, ladies. In today’s noisy online world, people can feel it when your brand has no soul. If it sounds like it was whipped up by ChatGPT in five seconds flat…trust me, they can smell that from a mile away.
The Rise of AI and the Fall of Originality
Here’s what breaks my heart…
I see incredible Christian women with powerful stories, deep convictions, and getting lost in a sea of sameness online. It’s like their voice is being drowned out by copy-paste content that doesn’t carry their anointing.
Because instead of digging into the Holy Spirit for their content, they’re digging into ChatGPT. Instead of wrestling with the message God put on their heart, they’re asking AI what to say.
Let me say this clearly: Your personal brand is the key to long-term sustainability, online business or not.
People don’t want more regurgitated content. They want connection. They want truth. They want real.
As an online Christian coach, your story—YOUR voice—is what God is going to use to break chains and set people free.
Use AI as a tool. But do NOT treat it like your mentor, your copywriter, or your calling.
The Set-Apart Business Is Still Worth Building
Ladies, I feel like we are at a crossroads in the online business space, especially the coaching business.
Live event show-up rates are down. Online conversion rates are shifting. I feel that, post-COVID, people are craving real again. They’re tired of surface-level content and shiny formulas.
Which means you have an opportunity to show up differently.
To stand out. To be set apart.
And that means going deep. Doing the work. Digging into the unique calling God has placed on your life—not automating your way out of it.
How to Build a Coaching Business That Doesn’t Sound Like Everyone Else
If you’re a Christian Life Coach, Christian Business Coach, online course creator, or ministry leader who is DONE sounding like a watered-down version of ChatGPT…
Here’s what you need to do:
- Get clarity on your message.
Your “I help” statement isn’t just a formula. It’s a foundation. - Create your content from a place of overflow.
If the Lord isn’t leading it, pause before posting. - Stop taking the easy way out.
True transformation happens in the tension. And your content should reflect that. - Be okay with sounding different.
You weren’t called to blend in. You were called to disrupt.
Let’s Be Women Who Actually THINK
My final encouragement to you? Discipline yourself to think. To seek God first. To build what matters.
Because the truth is: you weren’t called to copy and paste your way to the top. You were called to carry a mantle of leadership. You were called to build a business that reflects His glory.
Let ChatGPT be your assistant—not your architect. And never, ever forget: your voice is your superpower.
