Can you believe we are already halfway through this summer? I absolutely LOVE the summer vibe. Last summer we spent about six weeks in North Carolina at the beach and I truly just got to disconnect and make passive income through my coaching business. I started building an evergreen funnel prior to that which allowed me to pretty much show up for my online community.
Throughout last summer, I literally only worked 5-10 hours a week. This summer I am probably working closer to 10-15 hours because I am working on some projects, but it’s honestly glorious because I am still enjoying the summer. Today I am going to break down how I am able to do this in my Christian online coaching business and what my days and weeks look like.
RECURRING REVENUE
I have a structure where I take a lot of payment plans. My offers are structured so I can really have consistent monthly income throughout the year. I love this because it allows me to take off and project and plan what I expect to come in. It’s never just like a feast and famine because I do indeed have recurring revenue that is coming in all the time. I always have to think about what’s in the pipeline, but because I’ve thoughtfully structured my offers, I can take a step back from my business in the summer.
SOLID FUNNELS
My marketing is on auto-pilot. I feel like I have a really comfortable cadence with the podcast and how I create content. My podcast is really the core of my content creation. However, the systems regarding funnels are really solid. I can always optimize but I have systems that run 24/7 and sell for me while I am sleeping, which is incredible.
WORK AROUND ACTIVITIES
I work around my planned activities, travel, and family. So when I look at my summer, some weeks may be heavier than others. This week in particular has been a heavier week because my husband is taking a bigger load with the kids this week. It’s been really cool because although this has been a heavier week I have been able to be with my kids a ton more during different weeks to send them to camp, plant in the garden with them, and other fun activities I can plan my work around.
My husband helps a lot, but we tag team a bit…he’s back into a big project though and renovating a commercial building we just purchased. So I think as you are planning there has to be an awareness about your capacity and mindful intentionality about what season you are in and what the focus is in your coaching business.
Since I have built a coaching business where I have recurring revenue and solid funnels, I can take a week where I don’t do much of anything outside of showing up for my clients and indulging in fun summer activities with my family and you can, too!
